Side Effects

Insomnia, GI upset, dizziness, increase in liver enzymes, thrombocytopenia (low levels of platelets), fundic gland polyps, arthralgia(joint pain), myalgia (muscle ache), headache and hypersensitivity reactions/allergies

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with liver problems, autoimmune disease, low amount of magnesium in the blood,a type of kidney inflammation called interstitial nephritis,Osteoporosis (fragile bones), CYP2C19 poor metabolizer, fracture and diarrhea from an infection with Clostridium difficile bacteria
