Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in hypercalcemia (raised calcium levels) and hypercalciuria (excess of calcium in urine)

Warnings

This medication should not be used in patients with renal (kidney) impairment  as well in patients with esophageal(muscular through which food passes) abnormalities. It should also not be used in patients with hypocalcemia (low blood calcium ).
